DefenceSynergia (DS) provides here a more detailed paper about the Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA). It follows on from a recent DS RFA paper and in this case highlights the paucity of platforms to enable Royal Navy ambitions in support of HMG’s ‘Global Britain policy.
The paper covers the platforms but these are incomplete without the ship’s complements. In view of the recent P&O ferry situation and the 100 merchant ships trapped in the Black Sea, it is hoped that HMG has plans for crews as well as ships in its National Shipbuilding Strategy objectives.
